How does SL ISO work?
The infinite power of dreaming and imagining offered by Second Life is the main idea of this project. Every moment spent in Second Life is like a visual feast, a library visit where knowledge and intelligence are shared from one person to another, and most importantly, a collection of emotions where happiness and pleasure, the indispensable reasons for the existence of the soul, can be experienced. From this point, the goal of SL ISO is to contribute to the experience in Second Life by providing the feeling of stage performance and being a musician, regardless of whether one is a musician in Real Life.
♦ SL ISO was established with over than 100 musician-actors, 10 stage coordinators, 2 supervisors, 2 conductors and 1 artistic director.
♦ One of Second Life's unique and talented live musician performs as soloist every month.
♦ Each concert is performed during 1 hour.
♦ Each concert contains 45-55 musician-actors on stage.
♦ The concert dates and times are announced via "CONCERT SCRIPT" by a notification in Second Life Management Group and Discord Server.
♦ All musician-actors are also informed about schedules, concert program, stage outfit, arrival time and rehearsals by their own stage coordinators.
♦ All musician-actors who fill application form for joining SL ISO are listed in excel spread-sheet with instrument choice, attendance status, stage coordinator name.
♦ New members are contacted and given an orientation about the progress by SL ISO artistic director.
What is the meaning of Musician-Actor?
The journey that started with 22 musician-actors in total on August 28, 2022, has evolved and grown exponentially, reaching a total of 110 individuals today. Musician-actors are the orchestra members who make up the SL ISO. These individuals, whether they are musicians in real life or not, take on the role of a musician within the SL ISO symphony orchestra, thus embodying both a virtual musician and actor identity. Their presence is the main reason for the existence of this project.
If applicants do not fill Application form first, IM messages will not be considered.
How can I become Stage Coordinator?
SL ISO is currently working with 9 stage coordinators co-operationally. Stage coordinators undertake the booking task for each concert, which is one of the most important parts of concert organization, by contacting and dealing with the musician-actors in the instrument group for which they are responsible.
Mastering the stage, having experienced the stage setup multiple times, having a deep understanding of the Concert Script's content, being able to maintain interactive communication with orchestra members, and being socially constructive, positive, and proactive are among the most important characteristics of stage coordinators.
In this regard, stage coordinators are selected by the SL ISO artistic director. The following requirements are sought for this position:
Being able to write English at an intermediate to advanced level,
Having regularly attended SL ISO concerts in general,
Being open-minded and broad-minded,
Being inclined towards teamwork,
Being constructive and collaborative in interpersonal relationships.
How much time should I spend for SL ISO?
Time is as valuable to us as it is to you. Therefore, SL ISO ensures that everything proceeds on schedule. Our stage coordinators are responsible for communicating the designated concert dates and times to you. The entire organization is planned one and a half months in advance and is communicated to the musician-actors by the stage coordinators at least 2 weeks before the concert. The concert date and time are also announced in the SL ISO & Score Management group (Private SL Group) and on the Discord Server.
All you need to do is to inform your stage coordinator whether you will attend the concert at the provided date and time before the "Response Expire Date". If you are available, add the day and time to your calendar to experience this excitement with us on the concert day!
SL ISO concert is performed during 1 hour.
New musician-actors book an appointment for orientation during the application. This orientation/training takes 1 or 1,5 hours at once and it teaches all details of the organization and stage rules. After you complete the orientation/training, you officially become SL ISO musician-actor.
Do I have to buy an instrument?
No.
SL ISO provides all the instruments that musician-actors will use on stage. Musician-actors learn to use their instruments and experience the details during the orientations and trainings provided to them. Additionally, musician-actors can come to the concert venue during stage setup and after setup is complete to rehearse as much as they want. Stage coordinators are always there to assist them with this.
Do I have to buy stage costume?
No.
SL ISO provides stage outfits for all musician-actors. We aim to deliver a visually captivating experience in Second Life, and the quality of the outfits is paramount to us. SL ISO maintains a list of outfit that the musician-actors can pick from.
(This information is valid for women. SL ISO prefers one style of tuxedo for men.)
More Info about outfits:
Female musician-actors who play instruments such as the harp, cello, double bass, and acoustic guitar wear pants.

What is "Name Card"?
Name card, which has your name on its surface, is the card that rezzed under musician-actor seat on stage. All name cards are set to use by only seat owner and stage coordinators. Any musician-actor can not click any others' name cards and can not make it disappear.
Name card has a special script inside it. Only seat owner and stage coordinators can click/control it. Basically, it has your name and it shows which seat is yours. You have to LEFT CLICK on your name card after you take your seat before the concert. It will disappear, but it will be phantom, that means it is still there. Just anyone can NOT see it after you disappear it with your LEFT CLICK.
What is "Stage Quota"?
Stage Quota is used when SL ISO performs in only 1 region. It basically means that each instrument group will have limited musician-actor on stage. Reason is to be fair for audience amount in 1 full region (Contains only 100 avatars). Currently SL ISO has over 100 musician-actors inside the group. That means we can allow only half of it or less than that to be fair for more audience.
